  14.     DISCLAIMER:  You use this code at your own risk, should you have a
  15.                  problem with that, then, I suggest you DO NOT install 
  16.                  this .WCX program.

  19.     TESTING:     The product, if used as described, works flawlessly. I        
  20.                  and several other SYSOP's have tested the HELL out of 
  21.                  it and encountered NO problems.  So it should work very
  22.                  well on YOUR system.

  37.     WHAT DOES THIS THING DO ?

  39.     Like other Prelog.wcx programs, this one allows the caller on-line to
  40.     perform several functions, prior to actually logging in to your BBS
  41.     system.

  47.                          [G]      GoodBye / Don't Log in

  51.     WHY IS THIS THING SO GOOD ?
  52.  
  53.     Many .wcx authors riddle their "code" with all sorts of self promotion
  54.     and advertising for their OWN systems, flashing other BBS Tel #'s in 
  55.     your face, etc... or, even worse, building in ANNOYING delays that are 
  56.     of NO value to you or your callers!

  58.     This .wcx has NONE of the above mentioned grief associated with it, but

  67.     OK I'M SOLD! - HOW DO I INSTALL IT ?
  68.  
  69.     1)    From the .wcx's included with this archive, find the one that 
  70.           matches the Ver. # of the Wildcat BBS Software you are using 
  71.           and rename the appropriate file to PRELOG.WCX 
  72.  
  73.        (If you are using Ver. 4.10 of Wildcat, select the PRE401.WCX file).

  76.     2)    Copy your PRELOG.WCX file into your Wildcat Home Directory i.e:
  77.  
  78.                                     C:\WILDCAT
  79.  
  80.     3)    Copy or Move the SRPRELOG.CFG file to your Wildcat Home Directory   
  81.           again, this is likely:   
  82.    
  83.                                     C:\WILDCAT  
  84.  
  85.           Do NOT rename this file as it is HARDCODED, and doing so will 
  86.           defeat the purpose of installing this utility !
  87.         
  88.     4)    Copy or Move the PREMENU.BBS file into your DISPLAY directory.

  90.           In most cases, likely    C:\WILDCAT\DISP  
  91.  
  92.           Then EDIT the PREMENU.BBS file with WCDRAW to reflect your own
  93.           BBS SYSTEM NAME, and DO NOT shorten, or alter the actual .BBS file
  94.           beyond changing the system name, unless you have an excellent 
  95.           working knowlwdge of WCDRAW.  Ok, I have warned you!.

  98.     5)    Edit the SRPRELOG.CFG file to reflect the name of the file you
  99.           wish to make available to your callers, for download  i.e:
  100.           a text file outlining your BBS and its features, BBSINFO.TXT
  101.  
  102.     **    Ensure the file you are providing to callers is small, i.e 
  103.           can be downloaded at 2400 baud within 4 mins, as WILDCAT! only 
  104.           allows callers 5 minutes of time in the "Prelog Envelope".
  105.  
  106.     6)    Lastly ensure that the filename you specify is located in your 
  107.           Wildcat Home Directory.   Note:  The file you offer your callers
  108.           MUST be in the Wildcat Home Directory or this will NOT WORK.
